Hello! I'm Hannah, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist specializing in the treatment of eating disorders since 2021. I am especially passionate about supporting individuals through a deeper healing not only with food, but also with their bodies and ultimately, their authentic selves.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Arizona, graduating summa cum laude in 2011. I completed my dietetic internship at Penrose-St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs in 2012. Since finding my way into the field of eating disorder treatment, I've had the privilege of supporting adolescents and adults across multiple levels of care, including Partial Hospitalization (PHP), Intensive Outpatient (IOP), and outpatient settings. My experience includes working with individuals and families navigating a wide range of eating disorders, both in multidisciplinary treatment programs and through my own private practice.
I feel so passionately about eating disorder recovery because I have seen that through the journey of recovery, life can become so much more expansive and joyful (although the road will of course at times be a bumpy one!). Our relationships with food and our bodies are deeply intertwined with how we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us, which is what makes eating disorder recovery so foundational to a fuller life. While nutritional rehabilitation is a foundational part of recovery, I believe that lasting healing also involves cultivating self-compassion, curiosity, emotional awareness, and a renewed sense of trust in ourselves.
My approach is client-centered, compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based nutrition therapy. I practice from a weight-inclusive, Health at Every Size (HAES)-informed perspective, incorporating principles of Intuitive Eating and an All Foods Fit philosophy. I also love to draw upon concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients explore the thoughts, emotions, and beliefs that shape their relationships with food and their bodies. Above all, I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered to approach recovery at their own pace.
Additionally, I am a trained Eat Breathe Thrive facilitator; this has deepened my appreciation for the role of embodiment, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation in eating disorder recovery. Through leading community-based groups, I've witnessed how powerful it can be when individuals begin reconnecting with their bodies - not as something to control, change, or avoid, but as something worthy of care, compassion, and trust.
This work feels like a soul-level calling to me. It is an absolute privilege to walk individuals and families through what can be one of the most challenging and overwhelming seasons of their life, and to participate in the celebrations that occur as each step is taken towards the reclamation of life. My hope is that our work together will support you in making peace with food, and experiencing greater freedom, connection, and confidence in yourself.
It would be an honor to be part of your recovery journey!
