Hi! I’m Jess Schores, RD, LDN, CYT.
I am passionate about meeting individuals where they are at in their recovery. I believe in a compassionate approach that respects each person’s unique experiences and challenges. By fostering a safe environment in our sessions, I strive to empower individuals through education and support. Being a yoga instructor as well, I prioritize implementing mindfulness in recovery, and focus on a weight-inclusive, “all foods fit” mentality.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from The University of Massachusetts Amherst and completed my dietetic internship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston,MA. Since becoming an RD in 2018, I have become very passionate in helping all individuals create positive and empowering relationships to both food and the body.
Prior to working with UNRESTRICTED NUTRITION, I worked at the Eating Recovery Center for almost 3 years in the Child & Adolescent Program as both a clinical dietitian and nutrition manager. I have experience with all age groups and various ED diagnoses including Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, Other Specified Feeding & Eating Disorders, and Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. I also have experience working with individuals with Substance Use Disorders. I take an individualized and evidence based approach when working with all populations.
Outside of my work, I love to cook, ski, garden, explore the outdoors and try out new crafts!
I am looking forward to working alongside you and helping you on your recovery journey.
"Jess is truly an angel. I don’t know where I would be without her! When it came to starting sessions, I was extremely nervous but Jess is so easy to talk to. She makes sessions comfortable and it feels like a safe space where I can be completely honest and open about my struggles without judgement. On top of that we’ve gotten so many steps closer to recovery and I never would have been able to do that if it weren’t for her help and support. She is such a light and so so encouraging! I truly am grateful for all the help she has provided me and I know that she is making an impact on so many others as well."

"Our family has had the privilege of working with Jess as she supports our 14-year-old daughter in her recovery from anorexia and bulimia. Jess has been an extraordinary partner in this process, combining compassion and deep understanding with the ability to set clear and constructive boundaries.
She creates a safe, supportive environment that empowers our daughter to make meaningful progress, while also ensuring that both patient and parents are gently but firmly guided when adjustments are needed. Jess’s expertise, professionalism, and balanced approach have been instrumental in our daughter’s recovery journey, and the progress we’ve seen under her care has been truly remarkable.
We are deeply grateful for Jess’s dedication, insight, and unwavering support."

"I have greatly enjoyed working with Jess. She is supportive and understanding while constantly looking for new angles from which we might tackle the difficulties I face and gently helping me expand my comfort zone. Having someone so empathetic to have these conversations with has made an incredible difference in my life."

"When my tween completed a three month residential then PHP program with Eating Recovery Center, I was really lost about who my outpatient team would be. Who would I rely on to help my kiddo continue to recover and heal? ERC highly recommended Jess and we are so so lucky to have found her.
Jess balances kindness and compassion with expertise in working with both children and parents.
Jess makes us all feel supported with her calm, non-judgmental approach. She validates feelings, offers concrete solutions and suggestions to try and is a steady source of positive encouragement and optimism. I see my 12 year old staying on track with nutrition and goals while also taking risks with new foods, helping me bake and prepare meals like we used to and overall developing a growing sense of body positivity and confidence.
It’s a long journey to recovery but I can’t think of a better partner to have alongside us as Jess. She’s a treasure!
